An important component of a youth center is a Sports Activity Room. You need to be relatively quiet and courteous in the rest of the building, but in the sports activity room, we let you play around, have fun, and go a little crazy. You can have organized sports or a free for all Nerf dodgeball game. Be certain to use something more durable than drywall when constructing your walls.
Creating a sports activity room inside a church can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. If you already have a gym, you’re good to go. A fellowship hall with high ceilings may suffice. If you don’t have any rooms with a high ceiling you’ll need to add on or compromise with what you have. If you have outdoor space, you have additional options, as long as the weather cooperates.
