At Rock Solid Teen Center we provide a satisfying meal, and when you’re serving food, you need somewhere to put the trash. We use trash cans without lids during Rock Solid, to keep the lids clean and make it easy to throw out trash. We replace bags when outside groups rent the facility, for aesthetic and cleanliness purposes. Groups that pay money to use the facility shouldn’t have to deal with full and dirty trash cans. The kitchen can use a large 45-gallon can, with smaller cans elsewhere. Having a separate can for recycling teaches respect for our environment, but you will need to monitor it, as teens will often throw it in the trash without reading the recycling label on the can. Having attractive trash cans with lids is a nice touch for other groups using the facility.
